Eric Barone Confirms New Project to Take Place in the Same Universe as Stardew Valley

Eric Barone Confirms New Project to Take Place in the Same Universe as Stardew Valley
Eric Barone, creator of the charming pixel farming sim Stardew Valley, has confirmed a new project is in the works. There isn’t much to go on yet, except he’s said it DOES take place in the same universe as Stardew but will have nothing to do with farming. Here’s hoping for more explanations of the major religion revolving around Yoba and exploring a bit more of the magical side of Stardew. However, don’t get it conflated with Chucklefish’s announcement of a pixelized RPG where the player goes to magic school – according to them, a cross between ‘Stardew and Harry Potter.’ Despite Chucklefish being Barone’s publisher, I’d find it hard to believe Barone isn’t completely taking the helm of a game again.Follow us everywhere ...

Stardew Valley Multiplayer Beta to Release This Spring

Stardew Valley Multiplayer Beta to Release This Spring
Eric Barone (creator of Stardew) and Tom Coxon (of publisher Chucklefish) have been busy, it seems. Not only has Barone announced a new secret project, according to the duo, the multiplayer mode is ‘done.’ That doesn’t really mean we can play it right now, though. It still has to get through beta testing, which should begin this spring. Mainly, it seems new text for the multiplayer must be translated and integrated back into the game. This is a bit longer than fans anticipated, as Barone had tentatively set the time limit of a multiplayer mode to be a year back in 2016. But, as players know the level of quality that Barone has so far demanded of his project, I think most will agree that we’d prefer quality over quickness.Follow us everywhere ...
