Eric Barone (creator of Stardew) and Tom Coxon (of publisher Chucklefish) have been busy, it seems.
Not only has Barone announced a new secret project, according to the duo, the multiplayer mode is ‘done.’
That doesn’t really mean we can play it right now, though. It still has to get through beta testing, which should begin this spring.
Mainly, it seems new text for the multiplayer must be translated and integrated back into the game.
This is a bit longer than fans anticipated, as Barone had tentatively set the time limit of a multiplayer mode to be a year back in 2016. But, as players know the level of quality that Barone has so far demanded of his project, I think most will agree that we’d prefer quality over quickness.
