Hack and Slash Your Way To Better Armor and Weapons

The Surge is a third person hardcore action RPG with a focus on melee combat. Teams Deck 13 and Focus Home Interactive are both behind the title. The game is slated for a May 16th, 2017 release date. In earlier videos, it has been very clear you take control of a man in a exo-suit and take down enemies roaming the CREO facility. During melee combat, you can actually focus hits on set targets of the enemy’s body. If successful, you can dismember the targeted body part and collect whatever piece of armor or weapon is currently designated to it. It’s a very cool little feature of the game and really makes the player decide which body part is really worth fighting for. The video below highlights this very well and definitely helps you understand by visually showing you how the “target, loot and equip” system works.
