That’s right Fortnite fans, very soon you’ll be blessed with the ability to take Fortnite Battle Royale everywhere you go as long as you own some sort of Apple or Android phone or tablet that meets the game requirements.
Fortnite Battle Royale was announced to be making its way to mobile devices for both iOS and eventually Android. The game will feature literally everything you already know and love from its console and PC versions. This also includes the weekly updates that Epic Games holds true to for the title. The title itself has done pretty well and it’ll be great to see how much more success it can gain in the mobile market.
Now that’s not all the news on this, as it’s also been announced the title will receive some cross-play and cross-progression love as well. That’s right, Epic Games and Sony have partnered up to allow the PlayStation 4 Fortnite Battle Royale community to be able to play between mobile, PC, Mac and console together and to bring their progress along with them between all the above listed platforms. Sorry Xbox One players, looks like you’ll have to make new progress if you decide to join in on this new wave. If it makes you feel better, I too put more of my time on the Xbox One version so I feel your pain.
Epic Games will be having an “Invite Event” for iOS interested players to signup to get a test run at the iOS Fortnite Battle Royale version. Signups are being held on Monday, March 12th at www.fortnite.com so be sure to head on over to sign up for your chance to help mold the game with Epic. Further details on this Invite Event can be seen now on their website.
