In an Activision blog post today, the curtains have finally been lifted and I’m thrilled to say that Crash Bandicoot, gaming icon and one of PlayStation’s favourite mascots, is making his grand return on 30 June, 2017.
It may be a longer wait than originally anticipated but this date gives Activision and Vicarious Visions plenty of time to nail down the details that made the originals so great.
Environments and assets are being recreated from scratch while still very much holding on to the original designs and charms. The soundtrack is also receiving an update that is said to remain faithful to the original compositions. (Although we’ll see about that)
However, it is still unclear whether this is a PS4 exclusive, I have reached out to Activision regarding the matter, we’ll keep you updated. For more information, you can read Activision’s full blog post, here!
