Movement Across the Globe

Super Bomberman R

With the Nintendo Switch launching, I’m looking for the best titles to come. One of the top three is Super Bomberman R. Now before I get into the new Super Bomberman R, I would like to talk about Konami Digital Entertainment. Konami has been around for a very long time. As a child, I played a lot of their games But it wasn’t until Metal Gear Solid that I became a true gamer and fanatic. An obsessive player in love with the series calling it the greatest series to ever be created. That said, sometimes I might forget Konami does have other games that are great and there’s a long list of them, but today we’re going to focus on Super Bomberman R.

Since the early ‘80s, back in 1983 Bomberman made its debut on MSX aka Home Computers aka PC. It wasn’t until 1987 when I first played it on the Nintendo system. From there, Bomberman became very popular around the globe. It’s a very basic concept with many different elements that can make the matches interesting. You place bombs and try to take out enemies and clear blocks along the way yet it expanded as years went on adding some extra fun and now there is a story mode spanning 50 stages and supports cooperative gameplay with another player The game also features an eight-player competitive multiplayer mode, which I am extremely excite to get into. From the outside it might look like a simple kid game but you can really have fun going to war with friends which will lead to some good laughs.

For me, it’s a family-oriented game where I would compete with my friends and family and have a great time laughing. This game has those unpredictable moments where one mistake it’ll cost you the game, so these elements are still the core of Super Bomberman R.

We are getting a fully remastered: graphics pumped up with 3D elements with beautiful frame rates. What I find intriguing is the immersive story. You can really get deep into the story and growing plot. As you dive deeper into the game and learn the mechanics, you just want to play more. Next, the awesome feature is that you can play the whole story with a friend. These missions are also going to have you facing off against special bosses. It looks great and I’m super excited about playing this game.

I personally will be purchasing this and having an event specifically for Super Bomberman R. I think it’s going to be one of the best launch titles for the Nintendo Switch.
