Eric Barone Confirms New Project to Take Place in the Same Universe as Stardew Valley

Eric Barone, creator of the charming pixel farming sim Stardew Valley, has confirmed a new project is in the works.

There isn’t much to go on yet, except he’s said it DOES take place in the same universe as Stardew but will have nothing to do with farming.

Here’s hoping for more explanations of the major religion revolving around Yoba and exploring a bit more of the magical side of Stardew.

However, don’t get it conflated with Chucklefish’s announcement of a pixelized RPG where the player goes to magic school – according to them, a cross between ‘Stardew and Harry Potter.’ Despite Chucklefish being Barone’s publisher, I’d find it hard to believe Barone isn’t completely taking the helm of a game again.
